January 20th

Today we finally got to go on our field trip to the UW Fox Valley Center to use a microscope lab! The students each got to sit at their own microscope and choose slides to view. They also got to look at a $5 bill under a dissection microscope. Dr. Kroening was nice enough to give his time to our class.

We also watched the full inaguration-students could stay in during lunch recess and lunch to watch it. The class was very respectful, listened well, and were all excited to see history unfold live!

I took videos of both these events and they will be on the blog.

I am also send home a note to be signed by all parents about something that happened in class last week. Please read the note, sign it, and send it back tomorrow.

Homework:

Lang. Arts: we are working on our outlines for our speeches. Ask your child if they need any more information on their person, and help them look it up at home or at the library. Have your child finish the three middle questions on a white worksheet and sign the bottom so I know you saw it. They need the most help thinking of ways that their person touched their lives.

Spanish: Have your child sing the song Tengo Una Familia Grande to you and then sign the song sheet.

Other: Book order due by Thursday-I have a few more days to wait on some code for the New Year online, so I can accept them until Thursday.
4 facts about the Underground Railroad due to Mrs. Kellnhauser by Thursday
Note signed that was sent home today(white half sheet)
