Today we wondered why the abbreviation for "pounds" is "lbs". We looked it up and found out that the word pounds is derived from the latin word "libra" which means weight. I never knew that! I always had wondered, so I am glad we looked it up!

read 20 minutes. I handed out new Book It reading calendars to students who wanted them.

Spelling: If you did not finish fixing your spelling sentences that were due today, please have an adult help you this weekend.

Other: book orders due Dec. 9th-next Friday
