May 1, 2009

Happy May Day! This afternoon we had an Arbor Day Celebration. Kindergarten through 5th grade assembled in the gym for a quick video and some facts about Earth Day and Arbor Day. The K - 4 graders were sent outside to pick up garbage. The 5th graders had a special project. They planted some kind of a maple tree on the playground and it was dedicated to all of the teachers that are retiring this school year. Afterwards, each student had the opportunity to plant a white spruce which they will be bringing home today!

Homework:

Spanish: Finish flash cards!! You need these done by Monday for class.

Other: Bring in $4 for our end of the year projects, book order is due May 7th.

Have a great weekend! :)
