11/28/11

Welcome back from break! I hope you all had a nice long Thanksgiving weekend with family and friends.

Today we worked on lesson 3.14 in Unit 3. I am hoping to do a review on this unit on Thursday and then give the test on Friday. We also are starting a new reading unit where each student picks three books from our library, reads a bit from all three, and then fills out a packet to decide which book is the best choice for them. We will be reading these books during the month of December.

Math: Homework and remembering 3.14 due tomorrow

Reading: Read 20 minutes. Book it calendar is due signed by Friday.

Other: Book order due Dec 9th
Technology letter due Friday. I will pass out new ones to people who lost theirs today.

Louis Daguerre's birthday 1787

We learned about Louis Daguerre today-his birthday was on this date in 1787. He invented one of the first ways to take pictures. I took pics of the class using some phone apps that make the photos look like older types of photos. Enjoy!
